Our Story

Farmec is a family run and owned business founded nearly 30 years ago. Farmec is committed to the importation and distribution of high quality machinery tailored to meet the needs of agricultural and amenity dealers and ultimately farmers, contractors and golf courses. Farmec commits to supplying a reliable, professional and customer orientated sales, technical support and parts service at value for money prices. Our vision is to be the preferred source of world class machinery for the Irish farmer to help them to grow their farm enterprises and continue to make a valuable and increased contribution to the Irish Economy.

Farmec Founded

- 1994

Farmec Ireland Ltd was founded in 1994 to distribute farm and amenity equipment.

Move to Naul Premises

- 1994

The company commenced with offices in Clonross, Drumree, Co Meath and storage and distribution facilities at the Naul, Co Dublin.

Deal Struck with Bargam and Twose

- 1994

The company commenced in business representing Bargam agricultural and amenity sprayers and Twose Hedgecutters.

Fella onboard

- 1996

In 1996 Farmec were appointed distributors for Fella, the German manufacturer of grass harvesting machinery.

Rogers Windfoil Booms and Woodbay Greensiron Rollers

- 1998 and 1999

1998 and 1999 were eventful as Rogers and Woodbay started with Farmec being their representatives in Ireland.

Importation of Sulky Spreaders

- 2003

The Sulky range of spreaders and seed drills are added to Farmec's product line.

MX Loaders join the Farmec Family

- 2006

MX front loaders become a part of the Farmec line up.

Agco Acquire Fella

- 2011

Fella was purchased by the AGCO Corporation in 2011 and Farmec continue until 2016 when AGCO rebranded the product and make it part of the Massey Ferguson product range.

SIP Grass Machinery

- 2016

2016 saw the arrival of the SIP range of grass harvesting machinery from Slovenia.

AerWay Aeration

- 2018

AerWay Aeration machines came on board in 2018

Move to Clonross Premises

- 2021

After over 25 years in the Naul Farmec moved into a brand new site in Clonross, Co. Meath
